Arms granted to the Dawson family of Azerley, near Ripon, Yorkshire. The Dawson family seat was at Langcliffe Hall.
Of tapering cylindrical form with molded rim, cast "S" shaped spout, scrolling wood handle, the domed cover with removable ball-shaped finial with chain attachment, engraved with a coat of arms within a scroll and foliate cartouche, engraved under base with scratch weight "20.12".
