A very large, heavy, and well preserved example of the classic form of a Charles II porringer. Finely chased acanthus leaves wrap around the lower part of the bowl and the cover, and detailed cast leaves curl into the ball finial. The cast handles are thick and heavy enough to support the substantial weight of the piece.
