Of bullet form with collet foot, straight tapering spout, “S” shaped ivory handle, hinged flat cover with turned ivory finial, engraved c 1740 with rococo decoration, also engraved with a crest, the motto “Through” and a viscount’s coronet.

The crest is that of Hamilton, for Viscount Boyne.
