Jane Peterson (1876-1965) studied under Sorolla, palled about with Gertrude Stein, Picasso, and Matisse, and developed a close friendship with Louis Comfort Tiffany. She traveled widely in Europe, the Near East, and America, and her work presents a wide variety of styles and influences.
