A Large George III Antique English Silver Salver on Stand
Provenance: Mrs. John W. Christner, 1979
The circular salver with deep chippendale border of cast scrolls and shells, on four cast leaf-capped scroll feet, finely engraved at center with a coat of arms flanked by supporters and below an Earl's coronet, on a later carved mahogany Chippendale style tripod stand.
The arms are those of Plunkett with Woolascot in pretense for Arthur James Plunkett, 7th Earl of Fingall (1731-93). In 1757 he married Henrietta Maria, only daughter and heiress of William Woolascot.
