A George II Antique Irish Silver Soup Tureen and Cover
A superb tureen by the greatest Irish silversmith of the eighteenth century, Robert Calderwood.
The arms are those of Moore impaling Ponsonby for Edward, 5th Earl of Drogheda (1701-1758), and his first wife Sarah Ponsonby (1711-1736), fourth daughter of the 1st Earl of Bessborough.
