SOLD - A George II Antique English Silver Dish
This beautiful and rare dish was made by the great if little known Huguenot silversmith Isabel Pero, widow of Jean Pero. Arthur Grimwade comments of the husband: "his work is rare, and shows a high standard and individual character." Clearly his widow carried on that tradition, as this piece is the only such dish we know of. Recently purchased at a bargain bazaar at Christie's, it was David Rockefeller's dessert dish.
