A Circa '70 Pattern Silver Tea & Coffee Service
In 1958, inspired by the launch of Sputnik and (on the American side) the moon mission, Donald Colflesh, born in Cleveland, OH, designed this tea and coffee service for Gorham Manufacturing Company of Providence, RI.

An identical example appears in the exhibition catalogue "Modernism in American Silver, by Jewel Stern, Dallas Museum of Art, 2005. It's particularly rare to find a Circa '70 tea and coffee set complete with its original tray, as this one is.
